Snow!

Two days after the new year, Durham had its first significant snow of the winter. This was the scene during a break from the snowflakes at dawn:

Don’t let the momentary sunlight fool you, there was more snow to come in the afternoon. I was tempted to build a snow-adviser (like a snowman, only with authority), but decided that it would have just made me feel guilty for not doing research.
