Big Physics III: Parking

One thing that Berkeley has that Stanford doesn’t: special parking places on campus for its Nobel laureates.

  1. I once saw a Nobel laureate get into his car at one of those NL spaces, back his card into the car behind him, go forward and bash the car in front of him, before going back and then out into the area populated with students. Priceless.

When I did a campus visit at Berkeley (for engineering), one of the vice chair’s selling points was you get a parking spot if you win a Nobel prize.
